217144+ Alberta Ltd is recruiting on behalf of our client, Holiday Inn Edmonton South - Evario Events - The First H4 property with Conferencing and Banqueting facilities in Canada with 126 state of the art rooms, Lobby restaurant bar, a 20,000 sq ft banqueting and conferencing facilities. We are looking for YOU to join our team.
• *What’s the job?**
Responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel, Houseperson is the key contributor to the success of our Hotel. A Houseperson should be able to work in any area as required by their supervisor to ensure maximum productivity and so that cleanliness standards are consistently upheld.
• *Key duties include**:
- Handles assigned duties, such as cleaning all public areas and back-of-house areas of the property, vacuuming and mopping floors, dusting, polishing, taking out garbage, shampooing upholstery and carpet, reporting any deficiencies to the Supervisor/Manager and/or Maintenance
- Handles assigned duties, such as cleaning guest rooms and hallways, recycling, and reporting any lost and found items or maintenance issues
- Stocks supplies and maintains inventory levels within assigned area
- Acts as an Ambassador, including making guests feel welcome and handling basic inquiries
- Assist Room Attendants as needed
- Follows established occupational Health Safety procedures and policies when completing tasks
- Ensures all maintenance and safety hazards are promptly reported to the Supervisor/Manager to minimize hazard risk
- Takes personal responsibility for equipment, ensuring it is operated correctly and secure at all times
- Reports any unusual or suspicious persons/activities happening in the area of security to the manager
- Other duties as required/assigned

- Strength - with the occasional lifting of items.
- Ability to follow instructions and detail oriented.
- Ability to work independently.
- Fitness - you’ll be on your feet most of the day, and will need to bend and kneel a lot
- Flexibility - day, evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job.

This is a full-time position that involves working part of the week in the front desk department and part in housekeeping, forming a 6-day work schedule with one day off per week at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
Front Desk Responsibilities:
• Provide a positive and memorable first/last impression for guests.
• Interact with guests during check-in, check-out, and general inquiries.
• Memorize reservation codes and room descriptions.
• Become proficient with reservations software.
• Perform front desk tasks including answering phone calls, assisting guests, handling payments, and maintaining the front desk area.
• Work under minimal supervision and assist with spontaneous tasks as required.
Housekeeping Responsibilities:
• Participate in daily team meetings and prepare for cleaning tasks.
• Clean chalets, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and inventory checks.
• Complete cleaning tasks including kitchens, bathrooms, and living areas.
• Interact with guests politely and professionally during cleaning.
• Comply with health and safety policies and assist with additional tasks as needed.

Minimum Requirements:
