About the Role
We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Hospitality Host to join our team at Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
• Welcome and ****** guests to their assigned tables, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Seat guests in station rotation, maintaining accurate guest lists and following check-in procedures.
• Assign and supervise side duties, ensuring all stations are set up and ready for service.
• Assist with side work and support service staff with bussing tables, taking cocktail orders, and other tasks as needed.
• Maintain reservation books, take incoming calls, and note reservations and special requests.
• Stay up-to-date on menu items, prices, and general service procedures to provide informed and attentive service.
• Ensure high standards of appearance and cleanliness in all service areas.
• Remain visible and accessible to guests, staff, and management, providing a seamless experience.
• Check tables before service to ensure proper settings and communicate guest requests to management.
• Incorporate safe work practices into daily tasks and maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent, with 1-3 months of related experience or training.
• Ability to read and speak English, with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and point-of-sale systems.
• Must complete ******* Awareness Training and possess a strong understanding of customer service principles.
