Role: SMT Operator

Role Description:

The SMT Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring Surface Mount Technology (SMT)

machines to ensure smooth production, maintain quality standards, and achieve daily production

targets.

Key Responsibilities:

 Operate SMT production line machines such as Solder Paste Printer (DEK), Pick & Place

Machine (FUJI/Panasonic), SPI, AOI, and Reflow Oven.

 Perform machine start-up, shutdown, and basic operational checks.

 Load PCB magazines, feeders, reels, and electronic components as per production

requirements.

 Verify component part numbers, feeder locations, and PCB models before production.

 Monitor machine performance and report any alarms or abnormalities to the Process

Engineer or Supervisor.

 Perform feeder replacement and component replenishment during production.

 Follow production plans and achieve daily output targets.

 Ensure proper handling of solder paste and electronic components.

 Maintain cleanliness of machines and the work area following 5S standards.

 Record production data, machine downtime, and rejection details.

 Follow SOPs, work instructions, and all safety guidelines.

 Assist the maintenance team during preventive maintenance activities.

Requirements:

 Knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes.

 Ability to operate production machines safely.

 Understanding of electronic components and PCB handling.

 Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

 Ability to work in shifts.

 Good teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor's degree in engineering, Electronics, or a related field

 Experience in the electronic surveillance or related industry is a plus

Experience: 2–5 Years (Electronics Manufacturing)
