Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Advisor – Health Economics

Pharmac | Te Pātaka Whaioranga is looking for a Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Advisor – Health Economics to join our Pharmaceutical Assessment team. In this role, you’ll help ensure decisions about medicines and medical devices are informed by robust clinical, epidemiological, and economic evidence.

What you’ll be doing
Supporting the assessment of medicines and/or medical devices using clinical and economic evidence
Reviewing, synthesising, and critically appraising published evidence
Contributing to health economic reports, Factors for Consideration summaries, literature reviews, and other key deliverables of the health economics team
Working closely with health economists, clinicians, and other internal and external experts
What we’re looking for
A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
Experience or strong capability in health technology assessment or evidence-based analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly
Strong organisation and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Background in GRADE or other systematic review or risk of bias tools is an advantage
An understanding of, or interest in developing skills in, health economics and the NZ health system

The salary range for this position is $89,868 - $121,330. Most new starters are typically appointed up to the midpoint of the range, depending on the knowledge, skills and experience they bring to the role.
