St. Paul Abilities Network is currently seeking a HCA for Aspen House, a DSL3 program funded by AHS. This is a full-time position that includes shiftwork – days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays.

The Health Care Aid position is a front-line services role that has the responsibility to support and facilitate the development of skills and competencies that will assist persons with acquired brain injury to pursue and fulfill their personal goals.

Provision of Care

This domain refers to application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to deliver person-centered care, which includes recognizing and supporting the unique needs and abilities of the individual. Care activities in this domain are directed to supporting, promoting, and maintaining the health and well-being, safety, independence, and comfort of the individual. HCAs provide care under the supervision of a regulated professional and follow the individual’s care plan.

Demonstrate an understanding of the individual’s care plan and the role of the HCA in implementing the care plan.
Utilize knowledge of growth and development, the aging process, acquired brain injury, mental health and related health conditions when implementing the care plan.
