Full job description
We have immediate openings for Health Care Aides (HCA) in Grande Prairie to provide high-quality, personalized care to individual in the comfort of their own home. Applicants must be compassionate professionals committed to improving the quality of life by delivering exceptional care and support tailored to their unique needs.

Responsibilities:

· Provide personalized care and assistance to the individual in their home, following a customized care plan

· Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and transportation to appointments – medical or social

· Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals and maintain accurate medication records

· Monitor the patient's health status, including vital signs, symptoms, and overall well-being

· Collaborate effectively with the care team and family to ensure holistic care

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in the home

· Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the individual’s quality of life

· Provide nutritious meal planning and preparation, associated shopping

· Provide housekeeping

Requirements:

· Proven experience as a Health Care Aide with a strong background in providing in-home care

· Certification as a Health Care Aide and up-to-date training in CPR level C and first aid

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a focus on dignity and respect for the individual

· Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays

· Physical stamina and emotional resilience to handle the demands of in-home care

· Police Clearance – Vulnerable Sector Search

· At least 2 professional references

· Personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
