Head- Chef

The Head Chef is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes while maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. The role involves leading the kitchen team, managing inventory and food costs, developing menus, and delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests. **Key Responsibilities:** * Plan, develop, and update menus in line with customer preferences and business objectives. * Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure high performance. * Prepare and oversee the preparation of food to maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards. * Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations. * Monitor food stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory efficiently. * Control food costs, minimize waste, and maintain budget targets. * Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate kitchen coverage. * Inspect food quality, storage, and kitchen cleanliness regularly. * Collaborate with management on promotions, seasonal menus, and special events. * Resolve kitchen-related issues promptly and maintain a positive working environment. **Qualifications and Skills:** * Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef. * Culinary qualification or equivalent professional training is preferred. * Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. * Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. * Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations. * Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. * Strong organizational, budgeting, and inventory management skills. * Creativity and passion for delivering high-quality cuisine. **Working Conditions:** * Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. * Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when required. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):** * Consistent food quality and customer satisfaction. * Food cost control and waste reduction. * Compliance with health and safety standards. * Staff productivity, training, and retention. * Efficient kitchen operations and timely service. *
