Hardware Validation Engineer
Job Description
• Power profile the device across sleep, active, workout, and charging states
• Capture and analyse signals on oscilloscopes and logic analysers: timing, voltage rails, power sequencing, peripheral behaviour
• Validate circuit-level behaviour across MCU, MOSFETs, BUTs, diodes, op-amps, and ASICs in charging, sensing, and control subsystems
• Verify communication integrity on I2C, SPI, UART, and USB using protocol analysers
• Characterise sensors for accuracy, noise floor, drift, and response across operating conditions
• Support firmware bring-up: boot sequence, peripheral init, low-power state transitions
• Run functional validation end-to-end: display, touch, haptics, sensors, wireless, charging
• Reproduce errors systematically and isolate root cause across HW, FW, or process
• Write Python scripts to automate test sequences, parse logs, and extract key metrics
• Build automated report generation and data visualization pipelines
• Write structured test reports with clear methodology, pass/fail criteria, and conclusions
You bring
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analysers, protocol analysers, and bench supplies
• Comfort at the circuit level: MOSFETs, op-amps, diodes, ASICs, sensor ICs
• Familiarity with climate chamber testing, thermal cycling, drop/shock/vibe, ESD, and IP rating validation
• Ability to read datasheets, define expected behaviour, and derive test limits
• Python scripting for test automation, log parsing, and data visualization
• A systematic approach to reproducing and isolating defects
• Experience with sensor calibration and factory test sequences is a bonus
