Position: Hardware & Networking Engineer (L1 Engineer)
Experience: 1–3 Years
Location: On-Site / Client Location
CTC: ₹3.60 LPA – ₹4.00 LPA
Working Days: 6 Days a Week
Weekly Off: Sunday
About the Role:
We are looking for an L1 Engineer to provide first-level IT infrastructure and technical support at our customer’s on-site location. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving day-to-day technical issues related to networking, desktop operating systems, hardware, and desktop applications.
The ideal candidate should have good troubleshooting skills, basic network support knowledge, and the ability to work independently at a customer site.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide L1 technical support for day-to-day IT infrastructure and user-related issues.
• Monitor and troubleshoot basic network connectivity and network-related issues.
• Provide support for LAN, WAN, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, IP configuration, and basic TCP/IP troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Desktop Operating Systems.
• Troubleshoot desktop hardware, peripherals, printers, scanners, and other IT devices.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop software and applications.
• Handle basic user account, system configuration, and access-related issues.
• Identify and resolve hardware, software, and network issues within the defined SLA.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate L2/L3 support team.
• Maintain proper documentation of incidents, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions.
• Perform routine system checks and ensure smooth functioning of IT infrastructure at the site.
• Coordinate with the customer’s IT team and internal support teams whenever required.
• Follow organizational IT policies, procedures, and security guidelines.
Required Skills
Networking – Must Have
• Good understanding of Networking fundamentals.
• Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, and Wi-Fi.
• Basic troubleshooting of switches, routers, network connectivity, and LAN issues.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic network-related problems.
Desktop & OS Support
• Good knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating Systems.
• Experience in desktop/laptop troubleshooting and configuration.
• Knowledge of desktop software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
• Understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting.
Candidate Requirements
• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in L1 IT Support / Desktop Support / Network Support / Technical Support.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work on-site at the customer location.
• Candidate should be comfortable travelling to the customer location on a daily basis.
Important On-Site & Travel Information
• The engineer will be required to travel to the customer location daily.
• The customer provides transportation facilities for its employees, however, this facility will be available to the candidate after completion of 1 month from the date of joining.
• During the first month, the candidate will need to arrange transportation using their own vehicle or any other mode of transport.
• Petrol/travel allowance can be reimbursed as per company policy, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
• This is a 6-day working position, with Sunday as the weekly off.
• On-site residential colony/accommodation is not available.
• On-site mess/food facility is available.
Compensation
CTC: ₹3.60 LPA – ₹4.00 LPA, depending on experience, skills, and suitability for the role.
Preferred Profile
Candidates with experience in L1 Support + Network Support + Desktop Support will be preferred. Strong networking fundamentals and hands-on troubleshooting skills are essential for this position.
