Job Title: IT Trainee - Desktop Support Engineer (Freshers)
Department: Information Technology.
Location: Chennai-Thousand Light / Nellore / Sanga Reddy / Kerala (Kaycee).
Job Summary
IT Trainee to support the organization's IT infrastructure. The candidate will assist in maintaining computer systems, user accounts, networks, servers, and security policies while ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and standard desktop
applications.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
Assist users with password resets, user account management, and system access requests.
Perform routine maintenance, system upgrades, and health checks on IT assets.
Support basic LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity issues.
Log, track, and update support requests using the organization's ticketing system.
Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineers or relevant technical teams.
Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
Follow IT security policies, data protection guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 installation and configuration.
Understanding of computer hardware components and troubleshooting.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Oice 365 applications.
Familiarity with printer installation and troubleshooting.
Basic understanding of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi networking.
Basic understanding of antivirus software and endpoint security.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
