Position Overview:
The Graphic Designer DTP (Desktop Publishing) Operator is responsible for creating visually appealing designs and layouts for various print and digital materials. They will use their creativity and technical skills to produce high-quality graphics, illustrations, and layouts for marketing collateral, advertisements, brochures, presentations, websites, and other promotional materials. The Graphic Designer DTP Operator will work closely with the marketing team and clients to understand their requirements and deliver designs that effectively communicate the desired message.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and layout creation: Create visually compelling designs and layouts for print and digital materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, banners, newsletters, social media graphics, websites, and other marketing collateral. Ensure that designs align with the brand guidelines and project objectives.
2. Graphic creation and manipulation: Use graphic design software and tools to create and edit illustrations, images, icons, and other graphical elements. Modify existing graphics as needed to meet project requirements.
3. Image editing and retouching: Enhance and retouch images using graphic editing software to improve their quality, composition, and visual appeal. Adjust colors, brightness, contrast, and other image properties as necessary.
4. Prepress preparation: Prepare files for print production by ensuring correct color modes, resolutions, file formats, and bleed settings. Collaborate with print vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of print-ready files.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with the marketing team, clients, and other relevant stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide design recommendations, and ensure timely delivery of design assets.
6. Creativity and innovation: Stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and software to bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to design projects. Continuously explore and experiment with new design styles and tools.
7. File management and organization: Maintain a well-organized file structure to manage design assets, including source files, stock images, fonts, and project briefs. Ensure that files are easily accessible and properly archived for future reference.
8. Quality control: Review design files and materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines. Proofread and correct any typographical errors or design inconsistencies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a graphic designer or DTP operator, preferably in a creative agency or marketing department.
- Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), CorelDRAW, or other relevant tools.
- Excellent visual and creative skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Portfolio demonstrating a range of design work and proficiency in relevant software.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
