PRIMARY DETAIL
Annual base salary from $111,643 (HEW Level 7), plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading.

Supportive, collaborative team with a hybrid working environment based at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde
We are seeking an experienced Global Programs Coordinator who will provide high quality support to the Graduate Research Academy within Macquarie University. You will be a pivotal role in development and management of strategic international research training partnerships by coordinating legal agreements, supporting programs and overall recruitment process. Other key accountabilities of this role include:
Development of institutional Graduate Research agreements and MoUs by liaising with relevant internal and external stakeholders, obtaining relevant supporting documentation, and coordinating approvals by designated authorities
Coordinate cotutelle/ joint PhD proposals, ensuring the information provided by the prospective supervisor(s) is complete and the required department/faculty endorsement has been received, and determine the availability and allocation of relevant scholarship funding
Provide high level advice on the development of cotutelle and joint PhD proposals and agreements to staff, relevant stakeholders at partner universities, and current and prospective candidates
Monitor the status of institutional agreements, identifying those approaching expiry and supporting renewal processes (as required) in consultation with the Strategic Programs Manager
Provide regular updates to the Admissions/Lifecycle Coordinator, Scholarship Program Manager, and other relevant staff on the status of cotutelle and joint PhD agreements, and advise of any changes to expected commencement dates
Process variations to cotutelle and joint PhD agreements, ensuring expected on-campus and off-campus dates for candidates are accurately recorded in university systems and changes have been negotiated and communicated with partner institution

A PhD or progress towards a PhD with significant relevant experience, or extensive experience and management expertise in or a combination of relevant experience and/or education and/or training in a field of university research administration and international research partnerships
A minimum of 5 years' experience in coordination of an international research training partnership program at scale, including cotutelle and Joint PhDs across a range of international contexts.
A minimum of 5 years at a similar level in developing and managing relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Extensive experience in coordination and delivery of international research partnership engagement initiatives
Excellent administration skills and a demonstrated capacity to develop and implement effective operational processes and systems
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and negotiate positive outcomes to complex issues, and fluency in a language additional to English
High level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent computing skills including a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of programs and experience in the use of student information management systems and well-developed word processing and spreadsheet skills
Excellent project management skills
