Job Position
We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Manager with 10 years of experience in air and sea freight forwarding to join our growing US branch, based in Los Angeles (LAX). The ideal candidate will have a strong network of relationships with airlines and shipping lines, along with managerial experience in the US to AUS market. This role will oversee all air and sea freight operations, manage the US-based team, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations while maintaining excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Oversee the end-to-end management of both air and sea freight shipments for the US branch, with a focus on the US to AUS market.
Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, shipping lines, and key stakeholders in the logistics industry.
Ensure compliance with US and international customs regulations, as well as industry best practices.
Manage a team of logistics professionals, providing leadership, training, and mentorship.
Develop and implement efficient systems for shipment tracking, documentation flow, and cargo management.
Supervise and ensure the timely processing of import/export documentation, including airway bills, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth movement of goods, from booking to delivery.
Monitor the performance of the freight forwarding operations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and KPIs.
Respond to customer inquiries, ensuring high standards of customer service and issue resolution.
Develop and expand business opportunities in Airfreight and Sea freight.
Manage financials, including invoicing, cost control, and profitability of air and sea freight operations.
Utilise logistics systems such as CargoWise/EDI for seamless workflow coordination and documentation management.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in freight forwarding, with strong expertise in both air and sea freight operations.
Proven managerial experience, including team leadership and operational oversight.
Strong relationships with airlines, shipping lines, and other logistics providers, particularly in the US to AUS market.
Extensive knowledge of air and sea freight operations, logistics, and international trade regulations.
In-depth familiarity with US to AUS market logistics and customs procedures.
Experience using CargoWise/EDI or similar logistics software (preferred).
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organisational and planning abilities, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus but not required.
