Key Responsibilities:

NORMAL WORK DAY:

Set up a team of 2 to 10 carpenters. Ensure they follow the plans, perform quality assurance (QA) on their work, and maintain daily records of work, including dayworks. Take photos using tablets and manage emails and material orders. You will be required to work on the tools for half of each day.

On-site Leadership:
Lead and coordinate a small team of skilled carpenters on various construction projects.
Conduct daily toolbox talks and organize tasks efficiently.

Project Execution:
Work primarily on the tools, ensuring high-quality carpentry work.
Oversee and manage trades, ensuring project timelines are met.

Material Organization:
Efficiently organize and manage materials on-site.
Coordinate deliveries and maintain an organized inventory.

Communication Hub:
Act as a central point of communication between the construction site, the office, clients, and staff.
Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns promptly.

Site Organization:
Take charge of on-site organization, ensuring a smooth workflow throughout the day.
Organize and allocate tasks to the team as needed.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Carpenter with a focus on high-quality workmanship.
Leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a small team.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
New Zealand residency, a valid driver's license, and access to a vehicle.
A comprehensive toolkit for on-site tasks.
