Internship Duration: 30 days after start

Commitment: 30+ hours per week

Compensation: Paid ($12.00 - $15.00 / hour during internship period based on skill and experience)

As we expand, we’re looking for a Social Media Marketing Manager who’s excited to lead our online presence, tell our story, and drive measurable business results.

Role Overview

You will own our social media strategy and execution. You will create, schedule, and manage content across all channels to grow our audience, drive engagement, and convert followers into loyal members.

OFF-LEASH maintains a high-volume profile- you will be expected to maintain a minimum of 3 posts per platform per day, 1 story (instagram) per hour per day, and a weekly email update regarding events, news, offers, etc. to all members. If you cannot maintain high content volume, multitask, and handle multiple projects with deadlines at once, this position is not for you.

This role begins with a 30-day paid internship period so we can confirm your skills, alignment with our brand, and ability to drive results. If you’re successful, you will transition to a long-term role with increased responsibilities and incentives.

Key Responsibilities

Produce daily photo, video, and written content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other channels.
Create and manage a monthly content calendar that aligns with promotions and business goals.
Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions promptly and professionally.
Build relationships with local dog owners, influencers, and partner brands.
Plan and execute paid social campaigns to drive awareness and sales.
Launch contests, giveaways, and collaborations that generate buzz.
Track KPIs (engagement, reach, follower growth, conversions).
Report results to leadership and adjust strategies to improve performance.
Ensure all content and interactions align with OFF-LEASH’s tone: premium, friendly, and passionate about dogs.
What Success Looks Like

During the 30-day internship, you will:

Create and publish consistent, high-quality content.
Demonstrate the ability to grow reach and engagement.
Show responsiveness and professionalism in community management.
Deliver weekly reports on performance.
Collaborate proactively with the team.
After 30 days, if you meet expectations, you’ll be offered a permanent role with expanded responsibilities and performance-based incentives.

Qualifications

Must Have:

1+ years of experience managing social media for a brand, business, or personal brand with demonstrated growth.
Strong photography, video editing, and copywriting skills.
Proficiency in scheduling and analytics tools (Later, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mind
Advanced understanding of social media algorithms, tools, and trends.
Comfortable being on camera or filming on-site content.
Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite).
Bonus:

Experience in the pet industry or local community-focused brands.
Knowledge of SEO and email marketing.
University degree (complete or in-progress) in a marketing-related field.
