Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fish Cutter to join our team in delivering high-quality seafood products. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and butchery, with a strong focus on fish processing. This role involves preparing fish for retail or wholesale, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and providing excellent customer service when required. The Fish Cutter will play a vital role in maintaining the freshness and quality of our seafood offerings while adhering to all food safety regulations.

Duties

Carefully fillet, debone, and prepare various types of fish according to specifications
Ensure all fish are handled properly to maintain freshness and quality
Package fish products efficiently for retail or wholesale distribution
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and tools in compliance with food safety standards
Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage procedures
Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and equipment operation
Support team members in food preparation tasks as needed
Adhere to customer service standards when interacting with clients or customers
Skills

Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in fish processing or butchery
Strong knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures
Skilled in meat cutting techniques specific to fish filleting and deboning
Ability to operate relevant kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality product preparation
Good organizational skills for packaging and inventory management
Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interactions
Previous kitchen experience or food preparation background is highly desirable
