Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of freight, and maintaining effective communication between various stakeholders. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties
Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and manage logistics.
Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and vendors to resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
Analyze freight data to optimize shipping routes and reduce costs.
Handle multi-line phone systems to manage incoming calls efficiently while providing excellent phone etiquette.
Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure seamless operations.
Assist in the management of supply chain activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Plan trips taking into account drivers' schedules, unforeseen events and the fair distribution of missions
Skills
Proficiency in transportation management systems and supply chain processes.
Experience with 3PL operations is a plus.
Strong analytical skills for data analysis related to freight management.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and external partners.
Ability to perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
Strong typing skills for documentation purposes.
