Role Description The Fire Protection Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore, responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing fire protection and life safety systems for a variety of facilities. Day-to-day tasks include performing risk assessments, developing system designs for fire hydrants, sprinklers, gas flooding and detection systems, and ensuring compliance with NBC, NFPA, TAC, and local regulations.
The engineer collaborates with project teams to prepare technical drawings and specifications, supports installation and commissioning activities, and participates in safety audits and inspections. The role also involves analyzing system performance data, recommending improvements, and providing technical guidance to internal teams, clients, and training participants to enhance overall fire safety awareness.
Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Fire Protection Engineering and Safety Engineering, with the ability to design and evaluate fire safety systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in Fire Safety and Life Safety principles, including risk assessment, code compliance, and emergency planning.
• Hands-on experience with Fire Suppression Systems such as hydrants, sprinklers, gas flooding systems, and detection technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced certifications in fire protection or safety are an advantage.
• Knowledge of NBC, NFPA, TAC, and relevant Indian fire safety standards, with experience preparing compliant layouts and documentation.
• Proficiency in engineering design tools and CAD software, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Prior experience in industrial, commercial, or residential fire safety projects is preferred.
