Job description
What you’ll do
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Fire Fighting Design Engineer to join our team in the execution of industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing fire safety systems such as fire hydrants, sprinkler systems, and fire alarm systems, aligned with NBC (National Building Code of India) standards and best engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Design fire protection systems, including fire hydrants, sprinklers, and fire alarm systems for industrial facilities.
Develop layouts, schematic diagrams, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
Ensure designs are compliant with NBC standards and other relevant fire safety regulations.
Coordinate with clients, architects, civil, and MEP teams for integrated project delivery.
Prepare BOQ, specifications, and technical documentation.
Conduct site visits to assess system integration and installation feasibility.
Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
Review and update designs based on project changes and regulatory feedback.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of Fire Hydrant, Sprinkler, and Fire Alarm Systems design.
Proficient with AutoCAD, and exposure to Revit, EPLAN, or similar design software is a plus.
Familiar with NBC 2016 standards, IS codes, and local fire safety norms.
Industrial project design experience, preferably in sectors such as manufacturing, warehousing, petrochemicals, or heavy engineering.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Problem-solving aptitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
