Fire Alarm Programmer
Job Description
If you have a minimum of two years of fire alarm installation or repair experience, and possess excellent problem-solving skills, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our highly talented team at Onyx Fire as a Fire Alarm Programmer.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers, construction team, engineers, and technicians to understand project requirements and design specifications for fire alarm systems.
Program and configure fire alarm control panels, devices, and related equipment in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.
Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and adherence to all standards and codes.
Provide technical support and guidance to on-site installation and repair teams during the installation and commissioning phase of projects.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors to address any programming-related queries or concerns.
Stay updated with industry advancements, technological trends, and best practices in fire alarm system programming.
Requirements:
Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in fire alarm installation or repair within the fire protection industry.
Proficiency in fire alarm system programming and related software applications.
Solid understanding of fire alarm control panels, devices, and associated equipment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Highly motivated, self-driven, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams.
