Job Introduction
Pinnacle Group are looking for a dynamic Finance Business Partner who will play a pivotal role in supporting and challenging our Senior Managers within our Homes business, as well as their profit centre leads to optimise the financial and operational performance of their respective divisions. You will work in tandem with our Operations teams and Group Finance to gain an in-depth understanding of various profit centres, PL lines and related processes, ensuring efficient revenue recognition, cost management, and performance analysis. This is a full-time, hybrid role, and the working hours are Monday – Friday 9am - 5.30pm, although some flexibility maybe required for business needs.

Our Homes business is a leading provider of housing management services across all tenures. A community-focused business, our client base spans central and local government, as well as the development and institutional investment sectors. Alongside over 80,000 homes in management we have two for profit registered provider registrations and a market-leading council partnership acquiring, refurbishing, managing and maintaining a portfolio of 500 properties. In the last three years, in addition to acquiring a residential lettings business, we have secured a major Ministry of Defence contract providing services across a portfolio of 49,000 military homes, as well as a growing client base within the Build to Rent and development sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

The role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands on processing:

Finance processing: Working with the operations teams, ensure all financial process are completed for month end within the finance system. (This includes but is not limited to Accruals, prepayments, deferred income, monthly adjustments, revenue invoices, balance sheet reconciliations
Finance Business Partner: Through a deep understanding of Divisional PLs, collaborate with Profit centre managers and Senior Managers to plan, analyse and drive operational and financial performance.
Reporting and Analysis: Working alongside profit centre managers and Group Finance colleagues, ensuring accurate and timely accounting, reporting and analysis of the key PL components including revenue recognition, internal and external (subcontractor) costs, and other operating costs.
Budgeting and forecasting: Support the production of accurate and timely budgets and forecasts in line with divisional and wider corporate ambitions and targets, monitoring on-going progress and variances as appropriate.
Process improvement: Identify opportunities for business / financial process improvements and recommend and implement solutions where appropriate.
Adhoc analysis and trouble-shooting: Perform reactive, investigative analysis on key topics and issues as required, both on a divisional and company-wide basis.
Key Requirements:

Part-Qualified / Qualified Accountant / Qualified by experience.
Experience in preparing, analysing, and implementing accounting and reporting requirements.
Ability to plan and prioritise effectively to meet changing priorities and demands.
Ability to interpret PL, balance sheet and cash flow data and information to highlight opportunities and minimise risk.
Ability to business partner and communicate with non-finance stakeholders effectively and articulately.
Proven track record in effective facilitation and communication at multiple levels
Ability to influence and strategically partner.
Strong business acumen and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to gather, analyse and present data.
Operations and commercial literacy.
Ability to organise multiple responsibilities and deliver results in an accurate and timely manner while adapting to changes in priorities.
Ability to manage conflict and knows when to escalate.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
A self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and delivery skills.
