Finance Manager – Care Home Group [ Head Office ]
Full-Time | Monday to Friday | Office-Based

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the finances of three care homes in the Wigan area. In this hands-on role, you’ll manage a small, capable finance team (2–3 staff), take ownership of key ledgers, and collaborate closely with operations to drive efficiency and support strategic growth.

You'll be part of a supportive, family-oriented business with a friendly culture and backing from an experienced group management team.

Key Responsibilities:

Full financial oversight of assigned care home(s), including ledger management and payroll processing
Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial performance reports
Budget creation, forecasting, and regular KPI reporting
Maintenance of financial controls, including bank reconciliations and aged debtors
Leadership, support, and development of a small finance team (2–3 staff)
Identify and implement process improvements across the finance function
Liaise with external accountants and auditors for year-end accounts and compliance
Financial compliance e.g. tax reporting
What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, preferably in a financial/ management accounting role
Proven experience leading or mentoring small teams
Strong knowledge of payroll, reconciliations, and reporting
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Excellent organisational and IT skills
Experience in the care home or healthcare sector is desirable but not essential
Role Details:

Location: Wigan (near town centre) – Office-based, covering three local care homes
Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time
