The Finance Analyst is a great opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to further develop their experience in a high performing team that empowers colleagues to achieve their potential and deliver the best outcomes for Heathrow. You will be a key member of the team supporting the consolidation and reporting process within Oracle Fusion including preparation of year-end Group and subsidiary statutory accounts.
You will gain great exposure across the business through collaboration across teams at both the Business Services and wider finance team at Heathrow Airport, as well as external parties such as auditors.
Reporting and ensuring the integrity, quality and timeliness of reported results. Preparing year end reporting packs for all groups entities which can be used for statutory account preparation.
Submitting consolidation journals for review, ensuring appropriate support is maintained for audit evidence. Working closely with other centres of excellence such as Financial Control, Tax and Treasury to prepare and post their required journals in timely manner.
Drive data consistency where consolidation/late journals are posted ensuring these are pushed down to the relevant place within the ERP system and they do not remain as topside journals.
Posting and calculating central adjustments as required and performing a first level of review on valuations and on the monthly Group cashflows.
Working with the Record to Report team on medium to longer term projects relating to improvements in reporting capability or arising through updates to accounting standards.
Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or other if applicable).
Experience in preparation of IFRS Group accounts and understanding of large group consolidations advantageous.
Exposure / experience in the external and internal audit processes.
Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively at all levels of stakeholders both written and verbally, including ability to influence and persuade others.
