Fashion Designer- Western Wear (Embellishment)

Position: Fashion Designer

Loction: Shahpur jat, Delhi

Experience; 4+ year in Embellished Indo-Western & Western Occasion wear

• Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop exclusive Western & Indo-Western occasionwear (gowns, dresses, separates) with a strong focus on embellishment, draping, and couture finishes:

- Create mood boards, concept sketches, and detailed tech packs for collections
- Lead the development of new surface techniques and artisanal finishes in collaboration with the sampling team
- Work closely with merchandising, production, and sampling teams to ensure timely execution of designs
- Conduct research on international trends, silhouettes, materials, and forecasted color palettes
- Oversee and guide junior designers and design interns on execution and detailing
- Coordinate with vendors for sourcing trims, embellishments, and fabrics aligned with the design language
- Participate in fittings, sample approvals, and shoot styling when required
• Desired Profile:

- Degree in Fashion Design from a reputed institute
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high-fashion, couture, or export-oriented fashion labels:

- Strong portfolio showcasing embellishment work (Western / Indo-Western), occasionwear, and draped garments
- Proficient in manual sketching, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, draping techniques, surface development:

- Excellent understanding of fabrics, fits, finishes, and high-end garment construction:

- Creative, trend-conscious, and highly detail-oriented
- Should NOT be inclined towards Indian bridal (lehenga/suit) designs - focus should remain global / Indo-western aesthetics
• Key Skills & Expertise:

- High-fashion Western design
- Embellishment development (non-ethnic)
- Occasionwear design - gowns, dresses, drapes
- Draping and garment construction
- Surface ornamentation / hand embroidery techniques
- Fabric knowledge (silks, tulles, crepes, satins, etc.)
- Collection development & styling
