Event Specialist

We are a leading provider of temporary electrical, lighting, mechanical and production / staging services in the dynamic Events Industry. SHOWTECH is committed to service excellence and the highest standards attainable. We are currently seeking an Event Specialist to work out of our Exhibition Place Showtech Office located in Toronto, ON.

Job Summary

As an Event Specialist, the successful candidate will be responsible for completing the necessary administrative processes and duties to ensure all customer orders are processed in a manner which results in exceptional delivery of services by SHOWTECH.
Key Responsibilities

· Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers through email, phone calls and in person.

· Prepare, verify, and process orders by coding, processing payments, generating customer invoices, and emailing receipts.

· Verify transactions comply with financial policies and procedures

· Interact with internal departments to facilitate reconciliation of customer accounts, as necessary

· Perform customer care functions by handling exhibitor inquiries via emails and phone calls, and service needs with appropriate follow through, upsell when appropriate, troubleshoot exhibitor issues

· Communicate with Show Management and handling all requests regarding electrical, mechanical, lighting or sign hanging services

· Plot floorplans, attend meetings, create quotes as necessary.

· Presence onsite during show move in to assist with any problems, take additional orders, ensure a smooth install as per your orders.

· Record, verify and deposit incoming cheques

· Day End duties including balancing transactions

· Post-event audit of files

Basic Qualifications

· Strong customer service skills and solutions based focus

· Solid computer experience and technical ability

· Fluent in Microsoft Office (emphasis on Word, Excel and Outlook)

· Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize
