Job description
As an Engineer on the growing DevOps team at DISCO, your primary responsibility will be to evolve and manage the AWS-based cloud infrastructure, with a focus on the internal platform and control plane. Your expertise in this role will drive enhancements in system reliability, scalability, security, and the overall success of cloud-based solution development. Your collaboration with internal customers and fellow Engineers will play a crucial role in shaping the future cloud strategy of the company. Your Impact: - Engage actively in coding, code reviews, and technical discussions to ensure high-quality output. - Contribute to the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance distributed systems. - Continuously enhance system performance to meet internal customer needs using best practices for designing scalable distributed systems. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business and non-functional requirements into robust technical solutions. Who You Are: - A DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure, CI/CD, and Observability. - 3+ years of experience working with cloud-native applications in AWS. - Proficient in writing Infrastructure As Code and configuring/maintaining Linux Systems with Scripting/Automation. - Experienced in automating deployment/scaling of containerized apps and monitoring systems using modern observability tooling. - Enjoy partnering with Engineers across the stack to build, deploy, and maintain highly performant systems. - Prefer working collaboratively and engaging in learning from or mentoring others. Even Better If You Have: - Exposure to building and managing PaaS systems for internal customers. - Familiarity with Windows Servers, ASP.NET Deployments, Jenkins, Software Development, Cloud Networking, and Windows Administration.
