Embroidery Designer Embroidery & DevelopmentAbout the CompanyWe are a Bangalore-based embroidery and garment development studio working with international fashion brands and couture houses, specializing in hand embroidery, surface design, and garment development for global collections.Role OverviewWe are looking for an Assistant Designer with 34 years of experience to support the design and development process for international fashion clients. The role involves translating inspirations and briefs into embroidery concepts, preparing CAD artwork, assisting with sample development, and coordinating with artisans and sampling teams to bring designs to life.The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in embroidery, surface design, and luxury fashion development, along with the ability to convert creative ideas into development-ready designs.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign DevelopmentInterpret client inspirations, mood boards, and references into design concepts.Develop embroidery motifs, placements, and surface embellishment ideas.Prepare CAD artwork, technical sketches, and design layouts.Embroidery & Surface DesignDesign and develop embroidery patterns for garments and accessories.Work closely with embroidery artisans and sampling teams to execute design concepts.Experiment with materials such as threads, sequins, beads, and fabric manipulation techniques.Client Development SupportAssist in preparing development samples for client presentations and exhibitions.Adapt designs according to the aesthetic and requirements of different international brands.Support design revisions based on internal and client feedback.Technical DocumentationPrepare embroidery artwork and placement drawings for development.Maintain organized design files and documentation.Support the team in maintaining sample archives and records.Sampling & CoordinationCoordinate with sampling teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.Track development progress and assist in resolving design-related issues.Support quality checks during sample development.Skills RequiredGood understanding of embroidery techniques and surface design.Ability to create CAD artwork and placement drawings.Knowledge of garment construction and fabrics.Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.Strong attention to detail and coordination skills.QualificationsDegree in Fashion Design / Textile Design / Apparel Design.34 years of experience in a fashion export house, embroidery studio, or garment manufacturing environment.LocationBangalore
