Electrical Fitter
Job Description
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our production machinery operates efficiently and safely. You will attend breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and support production line changeovers. In addition, you’ll play a key role in modernizing and automating our factory.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and restore production quickly.
Perform fault finding and repairs on electrical systems and automated machinery.
Ensure spare parts are available and functional for maintenance tasks.
Assist with production line changeovers to minimize downtime.
Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
Document all work accurately in the maintenance system.
Weekly / Monthly Tasks
Electrical board maintenance, including RCD testing.
Test and Tag of electrical equipment.
Emergency lighting checks and compliance tasks.
Participate in plant maintenance programs and improvement projects.
Additional Responsibilities
Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Support automation and modernization projects within the factory.
Collaborate with the maintenance team on upgrades and installations.
Skills & Experience
Current Australian Electrical Licence (essential).
Strong fault-finding skills and ability to diagnose complex issues.
Basic understanding of PLC systems (troubleshooting experience preferred).
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
