We are seeking a drone pilot to complete a single aerial mapping project at a cemetery site in Ingleside, Ontario (Pleasant Valley), approximately 45°01'55.7"N, 75°02'51.7"W. This is a one-time, fixed-scope contract with a clearly defined deliverable. The work involves flying a photogrammetric survey grid over the site and producing a survey-grade orthomosaic. Prior experience with cemetery, land parcel, or as-built mapping is an asset, as is discretion and professionalism while working on active grounds.
Deliverable
A single orthomosaic covering the full site, meeting these specifications:
Format: GeoTIFF
Coordinate system: EPSG:3857 (WGS84 / Web Mercator)
Ground sample distance: 1 inch per pixel (≈2.5 cm/px)
Horizontal accuracy: ≤10 cm
Vertical accuracy: ≤15 cm
Natural color (RGB), true-to-life rendering, no stylized processing
Responsibilities
Plan and fly an automated photogrammetry mission with sufficient front/side overlap to meet the stated GSD and accuracy targets
Establish ground control (GCPs) and/or use RTK/PPK positioning as required to hit 10 cm horizontal / 15 cm vertical accuracy
Process imagery into a georeferenced orthomosaic and deliver in the specified format and CRS
Conduct all operations in compliance with Transport Canada RPAS regulations (CARs Part IX), including any required airspace authorization
Pay: $550.00 per week
