Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our
kitchen team. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the
kitchen by ensuring dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and
sanitized. The ideal candidate will also assist with basic food preparation as needed and
uphold health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
using dishwashers or by hand as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and kitchen areas.
Ensure all kitchen equipment, surfaces, and tools are properly cleaned and
sanitized.
Dispose of trash and recyclables according to kitchen procedures.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors to maintain a safe and sanitary work
environment.
Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping,
and portioning ingredients as directed.
Stock and organize kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation,
and hygiene standards.
Assist with unloading and storing kitchen deliveries as needed.
Perform additional cleaning tasks, such as deep cleaning kitchen appliances and
equipment on a scheduled basis.
Support the kitchen team with any other tasks as assigned by the Sous Chef or
Executive Chef.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a dishwasher or kitchen helper is preferred but not
required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to work well in a team and follow directions.
Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and
perform repetitive tasks.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
