AM’s Investment Banking team works with mid to large corporates and private equity investors on MA and financing mandates. The practice specializes in Consumer Consumer-tech, Healthcare and Manufacturing Industrials sectors.

Job Roles Responsibilities:

Origination
• Collaborate closely with the Managing Director to identify and convert opportunities into mandates, supporting broader sector objectives.
• Build and maintain close relationships with key stakeholders, including promoters, board members, and CXOs, serving as their trusted advisor on strategic issues.
• Lead the team in sourcing and executing mandates, leveraging the expertise of colleagues in India and global offices.
• Originate and close mandates independently, while working closely with the Managing Director on mandates sources by her/him.

Execution
• Lead execution including collateral preparation, marketing, structuring, negotiations, diligence and closing across Private Equity and MA transactions.
• Provide oversight to ensure high-quality execution, aligning closely with client expectations and managing the team’s progress on transactions.

Leadership
• Promote a performance driven culture, setting high standards of conduct.
• Lead a high-quality reputable team, with an objective of building a profitable PL.
• Act as the role model for the team, exemplifying behaviors that drive results while ensuring the respect of peers and colleagues.

Stakeholder management
• Develop strong working relationships with diverse client-side stakeholders.
• Earn the stakeholders’ trust through exceptional work ethics and a commitment to confidentiality.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of business development with an ability to build and maintain a professional network.

Communication and soft skills
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, along with a commercial orientation and analytical abilities.

Team Leadership and Development:
• Build, mentor and lead a team of high-caliber investment banking professionals, fostering an environment that values teamwork and continuous learning.
• Set clear performance expectations and providing regular feedback and professional development opportunities to nurture talent.
• Encourage collaboration across the other teams in the firm, leveraging the organization’s capabilities to provide holistic, multi-disciplinary solutions to clients.

Qualifications:
• Education: CA or MBA from a premier institute.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience in investment banking.
• Sector expertise: Extensive knowledge of Indian markets, a strong network with mid-sized and large corporates and Private Equity investors, and a deep understanding of any one of the Consumer Consumer-tech, Healthcare and Manufacturing Industrials sectors.
