THE ROLE
We are seeking a hands-on, tech-forward Director of Operations to work with the Ops Leadership Team on stabilizing, optimizing, and scaling our e-commerce fulfillment and supply chain infrastructure. You will directly oversee Canadian fulfillment operations, logistics, and inventory management, while helping improve our operational technology stack and leading impactful projects. This role is on-site first in our Oakville, ON office.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE AFTER ONE YEAR
You'll have brought structure, leadership, and momentum to the operations team. Key projects will have moved forward and performance metrics will be trending in the right direction. Most importantly, the ERP will be successfully launched and running, with you as a key member of the implementation team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fulfillment Leadership
• Directly manage and mentor the Canadian fulfillment team, building a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance.
• Drive warehouse efficiency through clear KPIs.
• Establish and enforce quality control protocols, including strict compliance with Amazon FBA preparation and packing guidelines.
• Build and document SOPs that turn know-how into repeatable, scalable processes.
Logistics, Inventory & Distribution
• Oversee stock optimization and inventory balancing across all warehouses: Canada, Texas, and Amazon FBA (US & CA).
• Oversee freight operations including LTL/FTL bookings, domestic shipping, and cross-border customs compliance.
• Help maintain inventory accuracy through robust cycle-counting and systematic auditing to minimize shrinkage and variance.
Technology & Systems Integration
• ERP & WMS Implementation. Join the implementation team as we roll out a new ERP in the business.
• Ensure physical floor workflows translate into clean, accurate digital data: one source of truth for inventory and order tracking.
Project Management
• Scope, plan, and execute operational initiatives.
• Set clear project milestones, manage resource allocation, and report progress to the SVP of Operations, on time and on budget.
WHO YOU ARE
• An Operational Leader. You lead with process. Systems and SOPs aren't overhead to you, they are how good operations stay good when things get busy.
• A Systems Builder. You build the workflows and automations that eliminate chaos, not just manage it.
• Pragmatic & Strategic. you can lead a complex software implementation in the afternoon and walk the warehouse floor in the morning. Both matter equally.
• Data-Driven. You manage by numbers - lead times, variances, fill rates, not gut feeling.
• AI-Literate. You've incorporated AI tools into your daily work and you will bring those habits here.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years of progressive operations management experience in e-commerce, consumer goods, or a multi-site distribution environment.
• Tech stack mastery. Proven track record of leading or playing a core role in a WMS, OMS, or ERP implementation/migration (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Fishbowl, ShipStation, etc.).
• Deep understanding of inventory control methodologies (cycle counting, safety stock) and freight logistics (LTL, FTL, customs).
• Strong organizational and project management skills with a history of successfully delivering operational cross-functional projects on time and on budget.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Salary commensurate with experience ($120K-$150K per annum).
• Annual performance bonus opportunity.
