Job Description
We are looking for a warm, organized, and enthusiastic Dental Receptionist to join our growing family dental practice in Oak Bay, Victoria.
This position has become available because our valued receptionist is relocating to Vancouver.
In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and efficient organizer at the front desk, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all patients. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help foster a positive environment, coordinate appointments seamlessly, and support the overall operations of our busy dental office. Dental assisting experience is an asset and will be considered a valuable addition to this role.
Duties
Greet patients warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere that puts them at ease from the moment they walk in
Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages promptly and accurately
Verify patient information using electronic medical records systems ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments efficiently to maximize office productivity and patient satisfaction
Handle check-in and check-out procedures, including insurance processing and payment collection with attention to detail
Maintain organized patient records, update medical histories, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing office supplies
Experience
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred
Proficiency with dental practice management software. Training will be provided.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate with patients and staff preferred
Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) to document patient interactions effectively
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally and courteously
Office experience that includes front desk responsibilities in a healthcare setting is highly desirable

Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour
