Dental Assistant/ Receptionist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This role combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, ensuring smooth patient flow and excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience with dental office procedures, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with electronic medical records systems. Duties
Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes
Schedule appointments and confirm upcoming visits using Dentrix
Prepare treatment rooms and assist the dentist during procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining sterilization standards
Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages efficiently
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix
Collect payments, process insurance claims, and handle billing tasks at the front desk
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming
Assist with administrative tasks such as updating patient information and managing correspondence
Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures in compliance with dental office standards
Experience
Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a dental office setting is preferred
Knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures is highly desirable
Experience with electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix is required
Strong office experience, including familiarity with multi-line phone systems and administrative duties
Previous medical office experience or administrative experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous
Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential

Pay: $19.21-$31.65 per hour
