pMancan is seeking a mechanically inclined and motivated Shop Helper to join our team. This position involves assisting with the teardown of rigging equipment, preparing items for painting, and performing general shop duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. This position offers a Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm schedule./p

pKey Responsibilities:/p
pDisassemble rigging equipment safely and efficiently, following company protocols./p
pClean, sand, and prepare equipment surfaces to ensure optimal paint adherence. This includes removing old paint and rust as necessary./p
pApply paint and finishes to rigging equipment, ensuring a high-quality finish and adherence to safety standards./p
pAssist with various tasks around the shop, including maintaining cleanliness and organization, operating tools, forklift, and machinery, and supporting team members as needed./p
pFollow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment./p

pRequirements:/p
pMust have a valid Driver’s License./p
pMechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools./p
pFamiliarity with painting techniques and materials is a plus./p
pForklift experience is preferred./p
pAbility to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor./p
pStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions./p
pExcellent communication and teamwork skills./p
pBasic knowledge of safety procedures in a shop environment./p
pMust be able to pass a DOT Physical and Drug Screen./p
pWill be fit tested once a year for a respirator./p
