• We’re a fast-scaling travel company building automation-driven backend tools to empower travel agents, streamline operations, and create scalable internal systems. We’re looking for a highly technical n8n Automation Expert who can work across backend systems, APIs, low-code platforms, and scripting to create robust automation pipelines for internal and external workflows.
• Role Overview
• You will be responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining automations across our operations. Your job is to make things flow — from lead routing, CRM updates, and quotation systems to invoice generation, PDF outputs, chat integrations, and more.
• This is not just about drag-and-drop. You’ll be expected to understand the underlying architecture and write custom functions, scripts, and API logic when needed.
• Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain automation workflows using n8n
• Integrate various tools like Google Sheets, WhatsApp APIs (e.g., Wati), Notion, Slack, CRMs, payment gateways, etc.
• Write custom code using JavaScript/TypeScript in function nodes and external scripts
• Connect and manipulate REST/SOAP APIs for third-party services
• Set up webhooks, triggers, schedulers, conditional logic, and error handling
• Optimize for performance, reliability, and low-latency execution
• Build reusable modules and templates for repetitive workflows
• Document automation flows and maintain change logs
• Troubleshoot errors and provide ongoing maintenance for workflows
• Collaborate with business, sales, and tech teams to translate manual tasks into automated flows
• Technical Requirements
• Hands-on experience with n8n – this is non-negotiable
• Strong knowledge of API integrations (REST, GraphQL) and tools like Postman
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and JSON logic
• Experience with Google Sheets API, WhatsApp Business API, Zapier, Make/Integromat
• Familiarity with cron jobs, webhooks, queues, retries, data storage, and caching logic
• Backend understanding – how databases, cloud functions, and serverless architectures work
• Bonus: Experience with Supabase, Firebase, Notion API, Stripe, PDF generation tools, or similar
• Ability to write clear technical documentation and SOPs
