Bring your love of numbers, statistics, mathematics, combined with domain knowledge in fluid and thermal sciences to drive the future development of thermal systems.Your key responsibilities will include: -As a Professional Data Analyst-Thermal in the Data Analytics and Machine Learning team, you will be responsible for understanding customer usage and performance of our products and for providing solutions throughout entire product life cycle including pre-, during- and post- development phases. You will make meaningful interpretations, recommendations and eventually predictions from the data available from various sources to support our endeavor in moving towards data driven development.Analyze data from test trucks/rig tests to provide quick feedback to the test engineers to ascertain the expected working of the thermal management systems in the trucksDevelop intelligent dashboards that will help the test engineers to analyze the performance of the thermal system or indicate wrong readings in real time during testsIntroduce real time interactive capabilities in the dashboards with automation functionalities for extraction of relevant data for various stakeholdersSupport the team to analyze big data from customer trucks to perform root cause analysis for customer product issues and provide a direction towards the solutionCreate, validate and implement advanced truck thermal systems utilization algorithms and its performance trend monitoring tools to enhance predictive maintenance forecasting accuracyPerform database queries to support engineering analysis and manage field issuesSupport implementation of dashboards and BI solutions for internal and external customer reportingAutomating data pipelines and ioT pipelines that will lead to successful development and deployment of Digital TwinsWork towards edge computing and other concepts to deploy data analytics and ML techniques onboard the trucks to make quick decisionsYour role will strengthen our Global Thermal Management Sub-Stream and contribute to Volvo Group Trucks Technology vision within this technology area.Your Future Team?Thermal Management is a department within Vehicle Technology responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining an optimized cab climate and vehicle cooling & heating systems for all types of propulsion installations to all truck brands within the Volvo Group. We are responsible for leading the work with strategies and advanced engineering globally. We are located at Gothenburg & Bengaluru, and we have close cooperation with the sites in Greensboro and Lyon. We understand the final customer needs and apply our knowledge to develop technical concepts and solutions that satisfy customer and business needs. In addition to this, you hold the below experience,Mandatory SkillsBachelors/Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or equivalent with demonstrated experience of 5 years in data analytics, machine learning, edge or cloud computing, ioT, etc.Advanced knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanicsAbility to leverage analytical and quantitative skills to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, compare against physics-based models and complete root cause analysisExcellent exposure to tools like Python (including libraries like Numpy, SciPy, Pandas, Tensorflow), SQL, Git, Azure, Hadoop, Matlab/Simulink, pySparkA passion for turning data into knowledge with great visualizations using Power BI, QlikView, TableauExperience in advanced ML/statistical techniques such as regression analysis, neural networks, (deep learning, RNN, LSTM, DQN etc.), time series forecasting techniques, classification, clustering, feature reduction etc. especially (but not mandatorily) in thermal management applicationsExperience/Knowledge in future technologies (e-MOB, Fuel Cell, H2 technologies)Good in compiling and presenting information verbally and in writing.Merit SkillsExperience in 1D/3D CFD simulations and/or testing of vehicle thermal management areaObjected Oriented Programming in C/C, APIs,What’s in it for you?We offer a solid package of compensation and benefits, plus you will enjoy:This bullet-pointed section should answer the following questions.
