Job Purpose and Impact

We have a great opportunity for a Crush Production Operator to join Cargill's Oilseed Crush Facility in Newcastle.

As part of a small and autonomous team, you will be responsible for maintaining optimum asset health for plant equipment, systems and structures. Providing a diverse work environment, you will work independently on individual assignments and support on larger cross team projects, with the opportunity to learn and support across all plant areas.

This role operates on a rotating roster with 12 hour shifts as the plant operates 24/7. Key Accountabilities

Operate and maintain the seed processing facility in a safe, efficient and result oriented manner.
Perform maintenance repair in order to ensure peak operational performance of the production facility.
Adhere to processes and procedures, and directions in relation to food safety and quality management. Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing and process environments particularly food and beverage desirable
Basic computer literacy
Hold forklift and elevated work platform Operator certificate of competency or obtain one within 3 months of the appointment
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive
Ability to prioritize tasks, use knowledge and initiative to problem solve promptly
Relevant trade qualifications preferred
