Job Description
Location: Edmonton, Alberta or Mackenzie County, Alberta
Work environment: Work-from-home with weekly in-person meetings in Edmonton. Fully remote if you reside in Mackenzie County.
Time: Negotiable, up to 35 hours per week.
Dates: October 1st, 2026 - April 30th, 2026, with possibility of extension.

The Opportunity: We are looking for a Conference and Event Coordinator to assist with planning, logistics, and execution of our events and conferences. One of our conferences and many of our events are held in Mackenzie County, Alberta. This role is perfect for someone interested in event management, sustainability, and organic agriculture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and execute events and conferences, including logistics and scheduling
Coordinate vendors, speakers, and event staff
Manage event promotions, registration, and social media activities
Ensure compliance with event regulations and policies
Conduct post-event evaluations and generate reports
REQUIREMENTS
Coursework in event management, hospitality, or business
2+ years of experience in event planning or project coordination
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency with Google Workspace and event planning tools
Knowledge of agriculture, ideally organic agriculture, is an asset and may be substituted for other experience.
