The YMCA of South Florida is committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and community engagement through various fitness programs. As a Community Health Educator, you will play a crucial role in educating members on healthy habits, nutrition, and lifestyle choices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver educational programs that promote healthy lifestyles and wellness.
Interact with members to provide support and guidance in achieving their health and wellness goals.
Maintain current knowledge of health and wellness trends to offer effective information and support to members.
Build strong relationships with members and colleagues to foster a sense of community and connection within the YMCA.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in health education or a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
CPR certification and first aid training.
National certification from a reputable health education organization (e.g., AAFP, NCHA).
