Location – Parramatta with hybrid working arrangements

Employment type – Ongoing full-time role

Salary - $129,464.00 - $142,665.00 pa, plus superannuation and leave loading


Your role


We are seeking a highly motivated communications professional with a passion for developing innovative communications solutions that support the effective operation of NSW’s legal and justice system.


You will partner with key divisions in the department to deliver communication strategies and campaigns that support business priorities and strengthen the department’s reputation among key audiences.


You’ll contribute to our department’s aim to create safe, just, inclusive and resilient communities through our work across courts and legal services.


What you’ll do


As a key member of the Strategy and Campaigns – Legal, Courts and Inclusion team, you will partner with internal business clients and communications colleagues to design and deliver proactive and responsive communications strategies.


You will be responsible for:


Identifying, developing, and implementing innovative best practice communication solutions, including multichannel campaigns, to meet organisational strategic priorities.
Providing guidance, support and point of contact for staff in business areas across the department for communication planning.
Seeking out and actively managing key stakeholder relationships based on open and regular discussions and feedback to ensure effective interface between communication planning and program/policy development.
Coordinating effective planning and delivery of activities across keys areas, including communication production, social media, media, and design.
Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of communication strategies and activities to inform current and future approaches, as well as report on emerging trends and risks.

Your work will make a tangible difference in promoting inclusion, reducing contact with the legal and justice system and supporting safer communities.


What we’re looking for


Substantial experience in managing complex communications activities and building strong working relationships with business partners.
Tertiary qualifications in relevant field and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
Experience managing the development of a range of communications strategies of varying size and complexity, across a wide geographic area.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to consult and liaise with people at all levels within the organisation.
