Job Description
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Neuropsychologist - Senior (Paediatrics) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Provide high level clinical neuropsychology services to consumers
Apply knowledge and clinical skills in evidence based neuropsychological assessments
Participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of group programs for complex disorders
Demonstrate ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
A postgraduate qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology obtained through an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) approved program in Clinical Neuropsychology
General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Psychology Board of Australia
Approved Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology
Applicants must hold full (general) registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency prior to appointment. Provisionally registered psychologists are not eligible for appointment. However, applications will be considered from recent graduates who have applied for general registration, providing their application is approved prior to appointment.
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Driver Licence
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Temporary part time (up to 30 August 2026 with possibility of extension, 15.2 hrs p.f.)
Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.56 per hour

The Child Development Service (CDS) focuses on children with developmental and behaviour problems. CDS liaises with multiple government services and agencies, including Education Queensland and Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs, as well as non-government providers and private practitioners. Based across based across various Community Child Health Centres.
