We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Clerk I. This role involves performing complex clerical work in various areas, including bookkeeping, inventory control, statistics, employment, time recording, purchasing, mail processing, data entry, physician/clinical support, dictation, notary services, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Handles correspondences and documents, maintains filing and data systems, and general administrative support duties.
Assists with training others as needed.
Performs routine clerical duties as assigned or needed.
Serves as Notary Public for the program, notarizing all pertinent documents.
Maintains defensive driving course and ability to drive a state vehicle.
Maintains adequate supplies for the unit.
Adequately and appropriately records and processes all credit card purchases.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
One (1) year of work experience in clerical or secretarial duties preferred.
Acceptable written communication as evidenced by application, required.
Work Environment:
The Clerk I works Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position may be required to work overtime and/or extended hours. Flexibility in work hours may be required for this position. Compliance with HHSC immunization policy and state hospital operating procedures related to immunizations is required.
