Cisco Network Engineer-Remote/Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled network engineer with expertise in Cisco technologies to join our team at ideahelix. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Cisco networking equipment, including Catalyst, Nexus, and ASR devices.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize all Cisco networks
Identify and resolve network issues through analysis and problem-solving skills
Ensure network security and vulnerability assessments are completed regularly
Perform network performance analysis and configuration management
Develop documentation for use in troubleshooting and resolving network issues
Participate in implementation of enterprise-wide Cisco solutions
Prior experience in Implementation and migration projects involving Cisco technologies is mandatory
Requirements:

Strong Cisco expertise in BGP, IBGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and dynamic routing protocols
Hands-on experience supporting Cisco networking equipment, Catalyst, Nexus, ASR
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of the Cisco Capital/Leasing and Cisco Lifecycle Services (CLS)
Positive, communicative, and customer-oriented attitude
