VPS4 Band $100,894 - $114,476 plus superannuation.
The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Central Information Point Team Leader to provide a critical role Corrections Victoria.

About the Business Unit

The Central Information Point (CIP) has been formed as a result of a recommendation from the Royal Commission into Family Violence to better serve the needs of victims. It consists of a co-located team of employees from Victoria Police, Corrections Victoria, Magistrates' Court of Victoria and Department of Family Fairness and Housing (DFFH), who perform the role of CIP data custodians and provide a summary of targeted information, upon request from family violence agencies.

About the Role

The CIP Team Leader provides support to the Corrections Victoria data custodians and to the CIP Coordinators. This includes providing training in the use of Corrections Victoria's databases, providing authoritative advice about Corrections Victoria information, working with CIP Coordinators to manage Corrections Victoria data custodians' leave arrangements and preparing risk assessment reports. The CIP Team Leader will be the first point of contact for the data custodians requesting assistance completing comprehensive family violence risk assessments.

Some of your duties will include:

Contribute to the preparation of CIP reports by working in partnership with the CIP Coordinators, to actively monitor the Corrections Victoria component of the CIP report; ensuring appropriate standards and quality of information are met.
Support data custodians by providing ongoing assistance and training with Corrections Victoria databases. This includes reviewing their reports, monitoring progress and providing feedback about their review of Corrections Victoria information.
Provide information to data custodians on legislation and provide advice and consultation on reports regarding client safety and wellbeing, and the role of the department in providing this support.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Demonstrated knowledge of the nature and dynamics of family violence
Proficiency in the use and operational application of Corrections Victoria data systems EJustice and PIMS.
Qualifications/requirements

Relevant tertiary qualification or experience is desirable.
