Job Title:

Apprentice Trim Carpenter

Pay: 20-22/hr

Description:

large builder in Montrose Minnesota. They are currently looking for three plus carpenters or carpenters’ helpers. You will be on a new build construction site assisting carpenters installing windows and wrap which is used to protect the exterior wall framing from weather.

They will be assisting the Journeyman carpenters on site with whatever tasks are needed for that day. Primarily, they will be working with heights, but the client provides safety talks and fall protection when working higher up in the air.

Minimum Requirements:

• 6+ months of construction or general labor experience

• 6+ months experience working on ladders and aware of basic ladder safety.

• Need to lift 75lbs pretty routinely on the job.

• Need to have basic hand tools-hammer, square, tape measure, and utility knife

• Need to have a tool belt-they had someone show up with their tools in a plastic bag which does not work.

Nice to Have:

• OSHA 10 Certification

• 1 year of Trade School

• 3 years of experience in construction

Location:

• There will be a two-day training in Montrose, MN.

• Job Locations: based on candidate location, twin cities metro.

Schedule:

• 7-7:30 am starts. Will not work in negative degree weather

• Year-round work.

• 8–10-hour days.

Compliance:

• Will need to have hard hat, safety vest, and safety glasses and steel toes.

• Need to have a toolbelt with hammer and tape measure

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
