Position Overview: The Carpenter is responsible for executing high-quality woodworking and construction tasks as part of custom home and commercial building projects. This role involves framing, finish carpentry, and general construction duties, working closely with the Site Supervisor to deliver exceptional results and to uphold the PWS company values.
Key Responsibilities:
Framing and Structural Work: Build walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components according to drawings and specifications.
Finish Carpentry: Perform detailed finish work, including cabinetry, trim, molding, and custom woodwork as directed.
General Construction Tasks: Assist with tasks such as installing doors, windows, and fixtures, as well as repairing and maintaining tasks as directed.
Drawing Interpretation: Read and follow floorplan drawings, technical drawings, and instructions to ensure accurate execution.
Tool Operation: Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Quality Control: Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client expectations.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Site Supervisor, other carpenters, and subcontractors to complete projects efficiently.
Material Management: Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately to minimize waste.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Timesheet Management: Daily and weekly entering of time following company SOP’s.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience as a carpenter in residential construction.
Proficiency in both framing and finish carpentry.
Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and technical drawings.
Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Familiarity with construction safety practices and procedures.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that require lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
Own basic carpentry tools; specialized tools will be provided as needed.
Working Conditions: The Carpenter will work primarily on construction sites, which may involve exposure to loud noises, dust, and varying weather conditions. The role may require occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
