We are currently looking for a Manager to join our Sydney office working within our Campaigns team.

Campaigns Practice

CT Group’s Campaigns practice combines regulatory affairs, media management, government relations, public policy, advertising, digital and social media, and campaigns management into a coordinated effort to solve some of the most complex and pressing problems for our clients.

We use our methodology, the CT Way, to shape and influence behaviour in the desired direction by targeting the motivations of key actors or audiences utilising identified levers and messages to achieve our desired outcome. Our campaigns are evidence-based and results-focused, built on our decades of experience in political campaigns.

Managers within the Campaigns Practice are an integral part of the team and are responsible for day-to-day management of clients and campaigns, including working in small, dedicated teams to solve our clients’ issues.


Position Summary

Managers are responsible for supporting Senior Managers and Directors with the day to day running and operation of deals, projects, or campaigns, including client liaison and supervision and mentoring of junior staff.


Key responsibilities

Leading and managing a variety of different projects from scoping to delivery – project deliverables must be to a high standard and client ready
Managing the project team on all aspects including allocation of work, coaching and mentoring junior staff members, and providing timely feedback on project deliverables
Media monitoring and reporting including highlighting trends and opportunities
Researching and analysing information for projects, particularly in public policy, media, government sources.
Supporting with all aspects of proposals, presentations, and client pitches for new and existing clients
Understanding the scope of work required for projects, contacting suppliers, conducting feasibility assessments with support from senior managers or directors
Identifying where opportunities and risks may exist on projects and raising as appropriate to the relevant project lead or director to assess
Working closely with clients and internal stakeholders, developing strong professional relationships, and liaising with teams to deliver exceptional work to the client
Developing an understanding of the CT Way methodology and applying it with assistance from project leads or directors
Ensuring timely responses are provided to clients and understanding and managing client expectations

Key attributes

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills
A proactive approach to work and deliverables
Stong anticipation and analysis of risks and the impact of decisions, developments or news
Problem-solving skills
Strong stakeholder management, both internally and externally including conflict management
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Working knowledge of research, analysis and report writing
Proficiency with IT, both hardware and software, including Microsoft Office suite, particularly with PowerPoint (creating presentations) and Word (report writing)
Strong organisation and methodical working practices
Adaptability and ability to prioritise and work under-pressure; and
A high level of professionalism and absolute confidentiality
