Role Description The Camera Editor is a full-time hybrid role based in Kayankulam, with some flexibility for work from home. This role involves operating cameras during shoots, coordinating with the production team to achieve desired visual styles, and ensuring proper lighting and framing. The Camera Editor will manage video footage, organize and back up files, and handle video post-production tasks such as cutting, sequencing, basic color correction, and sound syncing. Day-to-day activities include preparing equipment, collaborating with directors and producers, reviewing shot lists, and delivering polished video content that meets project specifications and deadlines. The role also includes maintaining equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing creative ideas to enhance visual storytelling.
Qualifications
• Strong camera operation skills, including hands-on experience with professional Camera systems and shot composition.
• Knowledge of Lighting techniques for indoor and outdoor shoots, with the ability to create consistent, visually appealing setups.
• Experience in Video Production, including pre-production planning, on-set coordination, and efficient file management.
• Proficiency in Video Post-Production, including editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and basic color and audio adjustments.
• Attention to detail, strong time management, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Kayankulam and independently when working from home.
• Relevant education or training in film, media, or a related field is beneficial; prior experience in a production or studio setting is an advantage.
• Understanding of current video trends and formats for digital platforms and social media is a plus.
