Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and responsible Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our South Indian café. The candidate will ensure excellent customer service, efficient staff management, inventory control, food quality standards, and smooth operation of the café using the Petpooja POS system.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
• Manage day-to-day café operations.
• Ensure smooth service during breakfast, lunch, and evening hours.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Monitor opening and closing procedures.
Staff Management
• Supervise service staff, cashiers, kitchen helpers, and cleaners.
• Prepare duty rosters and manage attendance.
• Train staff on customer service and SOPs.
• Handle employee performance and discipline.
Customer Service
• Ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service.
• Address customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
Petpooja POS Management
• Operate and supervise billing through Petpooja.
• Monitor daily sales reports and settlements.
• Manage menu updates, pricing changes, and discounts in Petpooja.
• Track orders, KOTs, and payment reconciliation.
• Generate daily and monthly business reports.
Inventory & Procurement
• Monitor stock levels of raw materials and consumables.
• Coordinate purchasing of groceries, vegetables, dairy products, and packaging materials.
• Minimize wastage and pilferage.
• Conduct periodic stock audits using Petpooja inventory features.
Financial Control
• Monitor daily cash collection and bank deposits.
• Control operational expenses.
• Track food cost and labor cost targets.
• Assist management in achieving revenue goals.
Quality & Compliance
• Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
• Follow local food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Maintain vendor and supplier records.
Required Qualifications
• Graduate in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Commerce, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience managing a café, restaurant, or QSR.
• Experience with Petpooja POS software.
• Knowledge of South Indian food operations is preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, email, reporting).
